Abstract

708,759. Bellows. WETZELL GUMMIWERKE AKT.-GES. Dec. 18, 1951 [Dec. 18, 1950], No. 29601/51. Class 8 (1). A bellows 1 for inflating a hollow body 11b such as a mattress has a delivery valve 1a in its wall and an inlet head 4, adapted to be fitted within an opening in the hollow body, and into which is inserted an element 9 carrying an inlet flap valve 5 and a return spring 3 whereby the element, flap valve and spring are removable as a unit from the bellows. The element 9 is secured within the head by a bayonet connection and the head may be closed by a cap 4c carrying a packing ring 8 to provide an absolute sealing of the body when inflated.
