Abstract

1410766 Valves DUNLOP Ltd 3 Oct 1972 [9 Oct 1971] 47116/71 Heading F2V An inflation valve for a tyre comprises a rigid tubular stem 18 having a diaphragm closure 20 secured against a wheel rim 24 and sleeve 21 and by a ring 25. A member 19 when depressed allows the escape of pressurized air from within the tyre. The diaphragm may be secured between the sleeve and the stem (Figs. 1 and 2, not shown) in which case the sleeve seals the valve to the rim.
