661,249. Small lubricating-appliances. CANDOLINI, G. Aug. 9, 1949 [Aug. 9, 1948; July 29, 1949]. Nos. 20689/49 and 20690/49. Class 66 An appliance for delivering small droplets of lubricating oil, e.g. for watches, is shaped like a fountainpen, the body being in, e.g. two sections 2, 3, with a nose-piece 1 and an end-cap 4, screwed together as illustrated and housing a rod, Fig. 4, (not shown) or a tube 17 secured to a plunger 10 and reciprocated axially by pressing a bellcrank lever 24 against spring action at 22, the oil being thereby forced from a reservoir 13, through a small compartment 9 through a capillary tube 5, and being directed along a needle 6 also secured to the plunger 10. Openings 19, 20 provide for equalizing the air pressure, and a plug 27 prevents oil passing back along the tube 17. The quantity of oil delivered is varied according to the extent of the depression of the lever 24, when pressed as by the thumb.
