Abstract

545,798. Grease guns. CROLLIE, J. W. July 8, 1941, No. 8621. [Class 102 (i)] In a hand operated grease gun in which lubricant is forced by a plunger 3 from a low-pressure chamber 4 into a high-pressure cylinder 15 from which it is ex pelled by a ram 1, the latter is locked in a. forward position against the action of a spring 8 by movement of a sleeve about the axis of the ram. The sleeve comprises an inner member 9 with an L-shaped slot 10, 11, and ar outer member 14 with a knurled exterior, the two members 9, 14 being spot-welded together. A pin 12 projecting diametrically through the upper portion 5 of the ran extends through a longitudina slot 13 in the screw-threaded shaft 2 of the low-pressure chamber 4 into the slot 10, 11 in the inner member of the sleeve.
