Abstract

1318022 Reciprocating pumps GREASE APPLIANCE CO Ltd 27 March 1972 [8 April 1971] 9142/71 Heading F1A A grease gun comprises a head member 1 mounted on a reservoir 2 and formed with a cylinder 3 in which a piston 4 is reciprocated by a handle 5 acting against a spring 19 via piston member 4a connected by ball joint 17 to piston 4, grease being drawn from reservoir 2 via port 11 and being discharged through a nozzle via check valve 12. Reservoir 2 is open at its lower end and either receives a disposable grease cartridge 8 with a follower piston 9, or receives the grease and follower piston directly. An air release valve 15 is used for priming the gun.
