Abstract

661,106. Razors. RUNDLE, L. A. July 10, 1948. No. 18583/48. Classes 30 and 131. A shaving appliance comprises a casing shaped to be held in the hand and supporting a rotating spindle carrying radial cutting blades having offset cutting edges. The casing is provided with a flat surface formed by two skin guards which are very thin and inflexible and spaced from each other to form a narrow slot. As shown a cylindrical blade holder 7, having grooves in the surface to removably receive blades 8, is integral with a spindle 6 supported in end members of the casing 1 one side of which is formed by flat skin guards 3. The cutting edges rotate clear of the guards and make cutting contact with the hair on the skin-line in the narrow slot 2.
