Abstract

658,267. Drawing apparatus for spinning- machines. AKT.-GES. J. J. RIETER & CIE. March 18, 1948, No. 8150. Convention date, March 31, 1947. [Class 120(11)] In textile drawing apparatus having two aprons, each running over a roller and a guide bar, the guide bars are mounted for relative movement for adjustment of the spacing between the aprons. In a modification having an adjustable lower guide bar in fixed in a weighting saddle. In plates 7 pivotable about a roller shaft 4 and adjustable in height by means of. a displaceable rail 8 having tapering lugs or wedges 9 on its underside which co-operate with the roller stand 10, so that horizontal movement of the rail 8 also involves vertical movement. The rail 8 may be replaced by an eccentrically mounted shaft for adjusting plates 7. Similar adjusting arrangements may be associated with the bottom guide bar when the upper guide bar is fixed in a weighting saddle. In another modification, Fig. 4, the upper guide bar 5 is mounted in a grooved guide member 22 slidable on a bar 23 in such a way as to adjust the height of the bar 5. The bar 5 is connected by a link 18 to roller shaft 19 guided in a groove 20. A snub 25 on the link 18 bears on one end of a pressure saddle 24.
