727,795. Lifter motions for textile spinning &c. machines. SCHEISS AKT.-GES. Oct. 5, 1950 [Oct. 29, 1949], No. 24295/50. Class 120(2) A spinning or like machine has vertically movable parts, such as spindle and ring rails, thread guides and drawing heads, raised or lowered by driving means surrounding a vertical stationary guide shaft or column. Any one or any combination of the spindle, ring, or lappet rails, 1, 2, 3, or drawing head 4, or delivery rollers may be vertically movable on a shaft 13 by means of nuts 14, 15, 16, 17 driven by gears 22, 23, 24, 25. The movable parts 1, 2, 3, 4 are guided by shafts 13 spaced longitudinally of the machine and the shafts may be connected longitudinally and transversely so as to comprise a framework for the machine. Part levelling means. Instead of a separate row of shafts 13 for each side of the machine, a single centrally located row may support the movable elements on each side and the nuts 14, 15, 16, 17 may be driven by shafts located on either side of the shafts 13. Instead of nuts on threaded shafts, cylinders 27, 28, 29, 30, Fig. 2, may slide on shafts 13a provided with pistons 23a, 24a, 25a, 26a, a pressure fluid, such as oil, being forced through parts 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, 36, 37, 38 to lift or lower the parts 1, 2, 3, 4. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 639,201.
