Abstract

In apparatus for drafting slivers as claimed in claims 1 or 2 of Specification 1,171,632 individual drafting devices have balloon-type fibre control means i.e. rollers with elastic covers or belts centrally unsupported. Balloon type upper rollers or a balloon type upper belt running over a pair of suitable rollers and optionally a belt tensioning roller may co-operate with a normal lower belt. The lower rollers or belts may also be balloon type. The balloon-type belts may be supported by balloon-type rollers.
