Abstract

658,087. Hammer mills. BRAMIGK & CO., Ltd., and WIEMER, H. H. Sept. 21, 1949, No. 24290. [Class 59] [Also in Group VI] In apparatus for manufacturing chocolate (see Group VI), the fluid mixture from a mixer 6 is carried by a conveyer worm 7, the speed of which is adjustable, to a hammer mill 8 in which the mixing is completed. The mass passes between blade-like hammers 10-17, which rotate at high speed and are arranged in right and left hand spirals, and also passes between the tips of the hammers and teeth 9 provided on the upper interior surface of the mill casing. The mass finally falls through holes 18 in the bottom of the mill casing on to a conveyer band 19.
