1283080 Mixing apparatus GISAG KOMBINAT FUR GIESSEREIAUSRUSTUNGEN UND GUSSERZEUGNISSE VEB 6 Oct 1969 48935/69 Heading B1C Mixing apparatus for preparing a moulding material mixture comprises a drum and a rotary agitator comprising a shaft 3 mounted for rotation about a horizontal axis and carrying arms provided with blades at its end which projects into the drum, the blades being arranged in a manner such that one pair of oppositely disposed blades extends obliquely with respect to one end wall 1 of the drum, and an other pair extends obliquely with respect to the opposite end wall 7. Material to be mixed may be screw fed via inlet 2 into the drum and discharged through an outlet (not shown) in the cylindrical wall 4, which may be closed by a movable slide (not shown). End wall 7 may be hinged to provide access to the inside of the drum for cleaning purposes. Nozzles 10 may be provided to direct jets of compressed air to the blades to clean them.
