Abstract

1491795 Reclaiming foundry sand CARL KURT WALTHER GmbH & CO KG 20 May 1975 [14 June 1974] 21464/75 Heading B3G [Also in Division B2] A vibratory mill for reclaiming foundry sand by autogenous milling comprises two unbalanced shafts 5, Fig. 3, connected to a chamber 4. The drive mechanism has variable speed control 3 and the shafts 5 are synchronized by a toothed V-belt Z, Fig. 3, extending around pulleys S. The mill is loaded via a funnel 32, Fig. 1, and discharged via a screen 34. This screen is opened for removal of foreign material remaining in the mill chamber 4. A second embodiment has a central feed funnel 17 and a screen 16 above a discharge opening 13, Fig. 2. Foreign bodies are removed after opening a flap 21 by operation of a pistoncylinder mechanism 25, 26.
