Abstract

The mixture of rock and fines passes down a chute and is fed into the crusher machine used in the cement making process. To prevent clogging of the chute by the fines, these are removed before entering the crusher by passing over a sieve arrangement, the fines dropping through. The sieve arrangement comprises two parallel shafts, one slightly below the other, each shaft being equipped with sets of rotating discs facing each other. These are spaced regularly along the shafts and a geared reduction motor unit drives both through belt and chain drives.
