Abstract

648,420. Mixing appliances. BEKEN. H. F. April 28, 1948, No. 11661. [Class 86] A machine for mixing dough or powdered masses comprises a stationary central stirrer 25 and an eccentric stirrer 26 which rotates around the stirrer 25 and also on its own axis. The machine comprises a standard 2 which supports a container 4, which may be vertically adjustable, and a forwardly projecting casing 6 which overhangs the container. The lower surface of the casing 6 consists of a disc 7 having a toothed annulus 20 on its upper surface by which it is rotated by the motor 24 and suitable gearing. Secured centrally to the disc 7 is a sleeve 11 journalled on the stationary shaft 10 of the stirrer 25, the upper end of this shaft being fixed to the casing 6. Also secured to the disc 7 is a further sleeve 14 in which is journalled the shaft 17 of the stirrer 26. The stationary shaft 10 and the shaft 17 are geared together so that as the disc 7 rotates the shaft 17 and stirrer 26 also rotate on their own axis. The stirrers 25, 26 mesh together deeply and may be flat or helical and one or more stirrers may be provided at different levels on each shaft. Specification 440,794 is referred to.
