Abstract

650,124. Roller clearers for spinning &c. machines. JUNKER, W. O. May 18, 1948, No. 13424. [Class 120(ii)] A textile drawing or spinning machine is provided with clearer bars 9, carrying means for removing lint from a bottom roll, and supported by coil springs 15 carried on rods 12 mounted adjustably in holes in the roll stand support 1 and passing through holes 13 in the clearer bar 9. To remove the springs, it is necessary only to loosen nuts 18 on the rods 12 and tilt the rods forward. The bars 9 preferably are formed with transversely convexed under surfaces and with one or more grooves 10 in each upper surface, each lined with fabric.
