677,071. Suction end-catchers for textile spinning machines; roller clearers. ANDREW MACHINE CONSTRUCTION CO., Ltd., and INGHAM, J. April 19, 1950 [May 5, 1949], No. 12009/49. Classes 120(ii) and 120(iii) A ring spinning frame has, in association with the bottom front delivery rollers a, suction pipes c, with inlet apertures below each roller for collecting broken ends and fluff, and clearer rollers b in the rear of the suction pipes c and in contact with the bottom rollers a. Both the suction pipes c and the clearer rollers b may be moved away from the bottom rollers a against the pressure of supporting means, such as springs. In one embodiment, a pipe c is supported at its ends in levers f and a clearer roller b is similarly supported in levers g pivoted to levers f and also connected by a spring h which pulls the clearer roller b towards the pipe c, the movement of the levers being restricted by a suitable stop. In another embodiment, the pipe c and the clearer roller b are supported by separate blade springs.
