476,514. Rubbers or clearers for flax &c. drawing-rollers. GREEVES, Ltd., J. & T. M., and EVES, J. V. July 17, 1936, No. 19809. [Class 120 (ii)] Rubbers or clearers for the pressing-rollers of machines for drawing flax, hemp, or jute preparatory to spinning are in the form of a scraper constituted by a row of metal fingers a with a chisel edge freely slidable in a holder A. An adjustable arm B or parallel linkage is provided to carry the holder ; as shown, the arm is pivoted in a bracket d on the swinging gib D and is adjusted by a screw b.
