Abstract

Openers and cleaners; feeding openers and cleaners.-In a machine for opening hard cotton waste in which the drum C is provided with several sets of feed rollers B, B<1>, B<2> by which the partly treated material is returned to the drum for further treatment, each set being of successively smaller diameter and being placed closer to the drum, the material is deflected by a guide plate H, H<1> to a perforated rotating suction drum J, J<1> which delivers the material directly to the succeeding pair of feed rollers. A feed roller and feed plate may be used in place of the last pair of feed rollers.
