Abstract

668,255. Ironing-machines. MACHINEFABRIEK REINEVELD N.V. Oct. 6, 1950 [Oct. 24, 1949], No. 24488/50. Class 138 (ii). In a laundry ironing-machine comprising at least one roller 1 co-operating with a heated polishing bed 2 which accommodates the lower portion of the roller, the machine being provided with loading and unloading devices 5 and 9 respectively, both located on the front side of the machine, the unloading device 9 is mounted over the loading device 5 and means are provided adapted to hold the ironed work in contact with the roller until the work reaches the unloading device 9. As shown, the means adapted to hold the work in contact with the roller consists in a curved sheet 7. Work fed to the machine from a beam 4 is carried by endless narrow ribbons 6 which are driven by the roller. Two or more rollers may be arranged in series, the sheet 7 being mounted on the rear side of the last roller and each ribbon 6 being arranged to engage the lower and upper portions of all the rollers.
