Abstract

494,600. Wringers. LITHGOW, J., and CROMPTON, H. June 23, 1937, No. 17420. [Class 138 (ii)] For protecting the hands of an operator feeding work to a wringer each roller 1 carries one or more endless belts 6 which pass over separated tension rollers 3 at the feeding side, the goods being fed into the converging space between the belts. The frame 5 carrying the upper tension rollers 3 is pivoted at 7 and is drawn by a spring 8 into yielding engagement with an adjustable stop 9. The belts may pass round the rollers as shown, in full lines or around back rollers, as shown, in broken lines.
