Abstract

Alloy steels having fluidity points at or below 2500 DEG F. are within the following ranges of composition: C 0.08-1.5 per cent, Be 0.04-0.5 per cent, Cu 0.5-8.0 per cent, Si 0.5-4.5 per cent, Fe and impurities the remainder. The alloys may also contain 0.15-2.5 per cent of Mo and less than 0.75 per cent of Mn.
