Abstract

Cobalt-base alloys, having good high temperature properties and being suitable for use as weld rods for hard facing purposes, have compositions within the following ranges in per cent by weight:-Co 44-51; Cr 26-30; W 18.75-23.25; C 1.35-2.25; Si up to 1.75; Fe up to 3.0. V may also be present up to 2.0 per cent.
