Abstract

A nickel-base alloy for spark plug electrodes has a composition within the following range in per cent by weight: Mn 0.5-3.0; Zr 0.1-2.0; Cr 0.5-3.0; Si 0.2-1.5; C up to 0.05; Fe up to 0.5; impurities up to 0.25; Ni at least 90.0. The alloy may also contain Ti up to 0.4 and/or Nb up to 1.0 in which case the C content may be up to 0.1 and does not exceed 1/5th of the Nb content plus 1/10th of the Ti content.
