Abstract

647,995. inductances. EKCO-ENSIGN ELECTRIC, Ltd., and STICKLEY, W. A. Nov. 6, 1948, No. 28891. [Class 38 (ii)] An inductance coil 3, which may operate as a current-limiting device for a discharge lamp, has a laminated or dust core 4 and is substantially enclosed by a box of magnetic material, such as steel, constituted by parts 1, 2, each part being bent from a single sheet so as to form two sides at right-angles with an end part integral with one of the sides. The parts 1, 2 are suitably positioned during assembly to adjust the air-gap of the choke. The parts are then secured in this position by clamps or wrappings.
