Abstract

647,529. Reciprocating pumps for lubricant. SATZGER, E. July 18, 1947, No. 19350. Convention date, Aug. 2, 1943. [Class 102(i)] A lubricant pump having pump units 7 disposed on both sides of a driving shaft 5 each unit comprising a pump piston 9 and a piston valve 8, the piston valves of each pair of units being driven by a common oscillator 16, 16<SP>1</SP> and the pistons thereof being actuated by a cam on the driving shaft at double the number of strokes of the piston valves which distribute the lubricant alternately to different outlets 20, 21 is 'characterized in that the common oscillator 16, 16<SP>1</SP> is provided at its ends with driving members 18, 18<SP>1</SP> en-. gaged by the piston valves and is rocked about a stationary member 13 by means of eccentrics 15 on the driving shaft, the oscillator having guiding means 17, engaging the stationary member, to cause it to execute a movement similar to that of a connecting-rod. The pistons 9 of all the pumping units are driven by a double lift cam on the driver shaft through a common oscillating member 12 rockably mounted on the stationary member or bolt 13. The pump casing 1 forms a lubricant reservoir which communicates with the pump units through suction ducts 22.
