Abstract

646,915. Vibrating mechanism. ALDRIDGE & RANKEN, Ltd., ALDRIDGE, F. D., and GREEN, R. W. Feb. 4, 1947, No. 3260. [Class 80(iv)] [Also in Group II] Apparatus for vibrating a screen for sifting materials (see Group II), comprises a pair of unbalanced wheels 30, 31, rotating in opposite directions. The wheels are intergeared on axes lying in a horizontal plane and each embodies an eccentricallyplaced mass 33. One of the wheels is driven from a main motor by a belt drive to a pulley and a flexible coupling is inserted between the axle of the pulley and the axle of the unbalanced wheel. Alternatively the wheel may be driven directly by an individual motor mounted on the vibrating screen.
