Abstract
815,325. Vibrators. PREMAX MASKIN A.B. March 23, 1956, No. 9214/56. Class 80 (4). A vibrating device particularly for use in moulding-machines comprises two sector-shaped unbalanced masses 1, 2 on concentric member 3, 4 provided with pulleys 5, 6 respectively. If a drive in the anti-clockwise direction is imparted to pulley 5 a projection 7 on member 3 engages and drives the mass 2 as shown in Fig. 2, the masses 1, 2 being balanced and having no vibratory effect. If the pulley 6 is driven anticlockwise the mass 2 engages and drives the mass 1 as in Fig. 2, the two masses combining to produce vibrations. The pulleys 5, 6 may be selectively driven from separate motors or from separate output shafts or rotors of one motor. The pulleys may also be replaced by rotor members of a motor or motors.
