Abstract
969,215. Vibratory mechanisms. SIEMENSSCHUCKERTWERKE G.m.b.H. Dec. 29, 1960 [Dec. 29, 1959], No. 44556/60. Drawings to Specification. Heading F2X. [Also in Division B4] A percussive device is actuated by the centrifugal forces developed by rotating eccentric masses, some of the masses rotating at different speeds which are in constant ratios of of integral numbers. Each mass may be replaced by a pair of masses each having equal and opposite speeds of rotation and equal moments of inertia. The ratios of the speeds may be varied by exchanging or replacing driving cog-wheels, and the drive of one or more of the masses may be disconnected. The rebound of the device may be restricted by a spring.
