[Also in Group XXIV] An adjustable eccentric device comprises a disc 10 in key and slot engagement 22, 23 with shaft ends 13, 14 of shafts 11, 12 respectively, one or both of which can be driven. According to the displacement D between the axes of the shafts, which can be adjusted during the drive, the disc 10 performs a gyratory motion which is converted into a reciprocatory motion by a connecting rod 26 and strap 25.
