[Also in Division H2] A bearing for supporting a reciprocating shaft 22 of a free piston engine driven alternator (see Division H2) allows for slight lateral movement by the provision of flats 11<SP>1</SP> on the bearing insert 11 which slide on flats provided in bearing 10.
