Abstract

968,379. Vibratory mechanism. B. P. TATARNIKOV. Oct. 27, 1960, No. 36877/60. Heading F2X. [Also in Division E1] A vibratory pile driver comprises one or more pairs of rotary bob weights for causing the vibrating action. In one embodiment (Figs. 1 and 3) the driver comprises a frame 2 carrying four parallel shafts 5 to 8 on which are keyed bob weights 9 to 12 rotated by a motor 1 through gearing 3. In another embodiment (Figs. 12 and 13) the driver has a pair of parallel shafts 49, 50 driven by motor 38 through shafts 39, 40, couplers 41, 42 and gearing 45-58 in gearcases 43, 44. Shafts 49, 50 carry bob weights 51-54.
