In a vibrator, in which the driving unit 10 is resiliently supported by leaf or coil springs 14 above an oscillation generator 2, 3 and 5 so as not to vibrate in unison with the generator, a change-speed gear 11, 13 and 12 is provided in the drive or drives between the output shaft or shafts 9 of the driving unit and the end or ends of the out-of-balance masses-supporting rotatable shaft 3 of the generator. Each gear is mounted on either the driving unit or the generator with a cardan shaft 30 extending to the driven shaft of the generator or the associated driving shaft of the driving unit respectively.
