795,437. Vibrators for concrete, &c. AKTIEBOLAGET VIBRO-VERKEN. Nov. 9, 1956 [Nov. 11, 1955], No. 34240/56. Class 86 [Also in Group XXIV] A vibrator for consolidating concrete, &c. comprises an outer casing 1 which encloses an electric motor 3, 4 coupled by interengaging shafts 6, 8 to a vibration generator in the form of a bowl-shaped member 10 which locates a heavy ball 11 adapted to roll on a circular track 12 rigidly connected to the said casing and is provided with adjustable eccentric weights 13, 13 as shown. The stator 3 of the driving motor is also, rigidly connected to the casing 1, and the rotor 4 has an eccentric centre of gravity which is preferably produced by adjustable eccentric weights 15, 16 at the ends of the shaft 6 thereof, the displacement of the rotor being such that it will be caused to vibrate substantially synchronously with the stator.
