Abstract

411,865. Motor-driving arrangements. CAHIER, C., 1, Ennismore Gardens, South Kensington, London. Dec. 13, 1932, No. 35320. [Class 35.] A vibrator, particularly suitable for vibrating the hand of a massagist, comprises an electric motor that rotates or oscillates relatively to its mounting, so that the reactions due to the mass of the motor vibrate the mounting. The motor casing 1 is attached at one end by a spiral spring 14 to a bracket formed on the mounting 9. At the other end, the ehaft 18 of the motor is secured eccentrically to a disc 19 which has a spindle mounted in ball bearings in another bracket 12. When the motor is in operation, the adjacent end of the casing 1 moves in a circle about the axis of the disc 19, the resulting vibration being transmitted to the mounting 9.
