Abstract

960,901. Jaw crushers. MINING RESEARCH CORPORATION. Jan. 11, 1961 [Jan. 11, 1960], No. 1239/61. Heading B2A. [Also in Division F2] The jaws 11 of a crusher are vibrated in unison towards and away from each other by being mounted on shafts 30 having weights 32 mounted eccentrically thereon and driven from a single electric motor, each jaw being mounted adjacent its lower end with respect to a frame 2 by means of a pair of pneumatic rubber tyres 19 surrounded by a rigid shoe 20, the tyres being secured to the jaw or to the frame and the shoe being secured to the frame or to the jaw. Movement of each jaw adjacent its upper end is restrained by means of a pair of pneumatic rubber tyres 26. The shafts 22, 27 of the tyres are mounted in adjustable bearings. Movement of the upper ends of the jaws towards each other is limited by adjustable stops 26a.
