[Also in Group XVII] A machine for bagging discrete material from a heap and depositing it into sacks, comprises a frame 10 mounted on wheels 13 and provided with handles 11, an elevator 15 which may be of bucket type or a screw conveyer or a suction elevator mounted on the frame for scooping up material near ground level, means 17 for attaching an open sack or bag 16 upon the frame below the point at which the material is discharged by the elevator, and a motor 18 mounted upon the frame for driving the elevator. The drive includes reduction gearing 19, pulleys 20 and a mitre gear-box 22.
