588,506. Road rollers. STOTHERT & PITT, Ltd., and KERRIDGE, N. E. Feb. 23, 1945, No. 4629. [Class 6 (i)] Vibratory movement is imparted to a roller by a rotating eccentric mass 9 mounted on a shaft 6 projecting through the hollow stubaxles 2 of the roller, and driven from an electric motor 11 through pulley and belt gearing. Transmission of vibration to the frame is reduced by rubber bushes 5.
