Abstract
641,096. X-ray tubes. PHILIPS LAMPS, Ltd. July 14, 1947, No. 18657. Convention date, July 17, 1946. [Class 39 (i)) The tungsten rotating anode 9 of an X-ray tube has attached to it a cupshaped member 10 of titanium - iron. The flanged part 11 is blackened, and is sufficiently long to dissipate at least 1/3 of the heat produced in the anode. The rim of the flange may be apertured. The anode is mounted via a shaft 4 on a copper jacket 7 with iron lining 8 forming a conventional rotor arrangement revolving round the stationary shaft 6. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 comprises also the forming of the member 10 of nickel, molybdenum, or iron. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
