Abstract
646,274. X-ray tubes. CORDINGLY, N. C., and NEWTON VICTOR, Ltd. Oct. 8, 1948, No. 26311. [Class 39 (i)] An X-ray tube has a rotating anode 3 mounted on a rotating spindle 7 by a heatresistive connector 4 which has slots 18 extending laterally across the general direction of heat flow from the anode so as to provide a long heat path between the anode and the spindle. A heat-absorbing screen 13, 14 is located near the connector 4 so as to absorb heat radiated therefrom. The connector 4 may be a circular disc, its centre connected, e.g. to the anode, and its periphery connected directly or through another connector with the spindle 7. The spindle is mounted in ball-bearings 8, 9 and carries a rotor 17 co-operating with a stator 16. Specification 646,275 is referred to in the Provisional Specification.
