640,608. Heating water by passage of current. BRAZDIL, J., and JADRNICEK, A. May 4, 1948, No. 12254. [Class 39(iii)] An electric heater suitable for fitting to water pipes, taps, &c. the water being heated by the passage of current therethrough has earthing means at both inflow and outflow points. A body 1, e.g. of rubber contains concentric cylindrical electrodes of carbon 3, 4 with annular passage 5 and bores 9, 10 to inlet and outlet tubes 8, 11 respectively. Earthing contact 17 and ring 18 are both connected to the earth wire 16.
