642,571. Heating water by electric resistances. KNOBLAUCH, E. June 21, 1948, No. 16677. [Class 39(iii)] A hot water or steam generator comprises a closed air chamber 1 containing upper and lower drums of water 14, 15 interconnected by tubes 18, heat being generated by one or more electric heating elements 13 suspended in the chamber and pipe means being provided to conduct the heated fluid away from and back to the said drums. One end wall of the air chamber is constructed of removable concentric annular shaped sections and the whole chamber is lagged with heat insulating material 5.
