Abstract
577,440. Electrically heating liquids. JONES, F. G. March 11, 1944, No. 4581. [Class 39 (iii)] An electrically operated water heated comprises a main water cylinder 1, an air-tight secondary cylinder 3 within the main cylinder, a water supply pipe 7, one or more electrically heated water tubes 9 communicating at both ends with the main cylinder, and a water outlet pipe 11 having its inlet towards the top of the main cylinder, the pipe 11 and tubes 9 passing through the secondary cylinder. The supply of current to the electric elements, mounted on quartz glass sleeves 13 surrounding the tubes 9, is controlled through a thermostatic device 14. Specification 286,374, [Class 39 (iii)], is referred to.
