498,928. Heating water by electricity. McDONALD, A., and WEBB & CO. (ENGINEERS), Ltd., H. July 21, 1937, Nos. 20257 and 25055. [Class 39 (iii)] The water chamber of an electrically heated storage chamber is an inverted glass vessel 1 with a flanged rim 3 which is detachably clamped to a base plate 13 carrying the heating element and the inlet and outlet pipes. The rim is held in rubber or other suitable packing 5 clamped by a ring 25 screwed to the base plate. The outflow and overflow pipes also may be made of glass. The casing 8 around the heat-insulating covering has a detachable top 9 and a detachable bottom to which a divided cover plate 11 is secured by screws 11a.
