Abstract

634,802. Affixing labels. SKODA WORKS, NATIONAL CORPORATION. June 13, 1947, No. 15640. Convention date, June 13, 1946. [Class 73] A device for sticking labels on paper bands, parcels &c. comprises a reciprocating suction head 2 which picks up a label, carries it past a pasting roller 15 and applies it to the article. The suction head is reciprocated by levers and cam mechanism, and is rotated by means of a stationary rack 13. In the application described, a paper band 28 to receive the labels passes over a feed roller 19 which is reciprocated by a cam to meet the suction head at the applying position.
