Abstract

632,610. Securing roof linings. MALLINSON & ECKERSLEY, Ltd., and MALLINSON, A. B. Aug. 30, 1947, No. 24059. [Class 20(iv)] Heat insulating linings B rest on the flanges of inverted T or angle section rails A suspended from roof purlins C by wire clips D passing through holes in the rails and over the purlins, the linings being clamped to the rail flanges by cleats a which comprise a vertical flange riveted to the web of the rail and a horizontal flange having a stamped out V tongue to dig into the lining. The cleat may be U- shaped to fit over the web and have a horizontal flange on both sides. The side edges of the linings are supported by an inverted T rail A<SP>2</SP> resting on the rail flanges. At the ridge or the eaves the rail flanges may be bent away from a shorter web to which the cleats are riveted in inverted position. Linings may be supported at right angles by fitting a vertical lining in a channel riveted to the vertical flange of an. angle rail supporting a horizontal lining on its other flange.
