Abstract

624,188. Clips. BLACKWOOD, A. R., and RAWLPLUG CO., Ltd. Dec. 19, 1946, No. 37453. [Class 44] [Also in Groups XIV and XXXVI] A clip for supporting cables or the like upon girders, &c. comprises a central member or bar 1, Fig. 1, a hook-shaped member 6 to engage the girder slidably mounted on one or both ends of the member 1, a saddle member 11 for carrying the cables &c., which is slidably mounted on member 1 so as to be longitudinally movable to any position within the limits of its travel, and means by which the hookshaped members and the saddle member may be secured in position. The member 1 is conveniently of the channel section shown, the lower arm of the hook member 6 sliding into the end thereof and being secured by engagement of a projection 9 in one of a series of slots 10 in the upper wall of member 1, and the saddle may be secured by bolts 13 having square heads' which fit between the walls 2 of member 1, and stems which pass through the slot 4. In the modified form shown in Fig. 4, the saddle member 11 is secured to a flat strip 15 which is slidably mounted on the member 1 by means of a bolt 17 ; the bolts 18 securing the saddle may pass through slots in the strip 15.
