[Class 52 (v)] [Also in Group XXV] A curtain support comprises a sheet metal or plastic slideway 16, Fig. 1 of inverted channel section, secured to a Z-section supporting bar 10, and a plurality of clips 20 attached to the upper end of the curtain, each clip carrying a metal plate 18 which runs. in the slideway 16 and consisting of a jaw 21 fixed to a screwthreaded pin 22, a sliding jaw 23 and a: nut 24 for clamping the jaws together to engage the curtain 25. An L-shaped end fitting 26 has a tongue 27 which fits into the channel 16, and a channel-shaped piece of metal 28 to anchor the end plate 118. In a modification, Fig. 6, the flanges of the channel are turned outwardly to provide rails 36 for the wire runners 42, and in this case the clips consist of a spring steel member 47 of inverted U-form, a latch member 49 being movable from the free position to a position shown in which a tongue 50 on the latch presses camwise on the adjacent side member of the U to squeeze this inwards to grip the curtain. In a further modification, the supporting bar is in the form of an inverted U, and twin angle-section rails are secured to or formed integral with the supporting bar and spaced inwardly from its depending flanges. The runners are constituted by U-shaped wires, the upper ends of which are bent over to engage the rails, and notches at the ends of the rails provide an anchorage for the end runner.
