600,600. Fixing building-boards to walls &c. HAY, H. M. May 13,1946, No. 14375. [Class 20(iv)] A metal lath a for supporting building- boards b to form ceilings, roof and wall linings is of hat cross-section with metal clips c attached at intervals and pivoted to the lath by means of a turning key d having a stem extending through the lath and secured to and against turning in the clip by splitting the stem to form a bi-furcated rivet d<1> and a head which encounters a side of the channel of the lath when the clip is turned transversely to the lath to secure the boards in position. The key head may be provided with a notch d<2> to facilitate turning and the mouth of the channel can be convergent or corrugated to receive a snap-on cover plate.
