[Classes 20(ii) and 20(iv)] A steel section of the kind fashioned from metal strip to comprise one or more parts 2, 3 composed of two or more thicknesses of the strip folded upon itself has a clip member 6, to receive a wooden batten 8 or like piece, secured longitudinally or transversely to a face thereof by welding. The clip may be of channel section, and may then grip the piece 8 by its edges 6a being inturned and forced into the sides of the wood &c. In one application of the invention a section as described is vertically disposed with one flange connected at intervals to a wall by hooked lugs and with heat-insulating sheeting secured to the batten on the other flange.
