A dowel-pin or nail comprises a piece of wire or narrow strip with oppositely - directed pointed ends 18, 19, and is straight for approximately a half, 16, of its length and has the remainder 17 bent out of alignment therewith but in smooth formation for readily penetrating a panel &c. 15. The portion 17 may be arcuate or straight and inclined to the portion 16.
